A look back at some of our favourite past projects
Whether a given client requests mere restaurant furniture or a complete fit out, a futuristic appearance or something more traditional, items for a bar or a hospital children’s unit, here at Design & Contract Furniture, we have always sought to answer to their needs.
For a demonstration of how we have done that, one only needs to look through a few examples of our past projects for all manner of establishments both near and far-flung from our Berkshire premises.
We have the strongest record when it comes to bar furniture
Design & Contracts has long catered to some of the most ambitious and frequented bars, including the Adventure Bar in Clapham, London, which was overhauled to create the sense of a futuristic experience in the home of a Victorian time-traveller.
Both Victorian steampunk and mid-century retro themed bars were made available to patrons, and the Adventure Bar co-owner Bryan Lloyd described himself as “really pleased with the furniture supplied by Design & Contracts and how well it complements the redesign of the bar.”
Another bar in the capital to have benefitted from Design & Contract Furniture’s expertise is the Exhibit Bar. The Balham establishment reopened at the start of 2015 after a refurbishment involving the introduction of brand new furniture, as well as the upholstering of some of the bar’s existing dining chairs and bar stools, in keeping with the new interior setting’s design scheme.
The art-inspired bar and restaurant’s revamped interior made use of monotone colours and regular patterns, and consisted of various function rooms including a cinema and art gallery.
But we also supply fine furniture for cafes and other premises
For an indication of the sheer versatility of our service as proven down the years beyond the world of bars, why not look to our work for Source Foods Cafe in Chiswick? The cafe, based in a glass-fronted building that allowed in plenty of natural light, was equipped with green transparent Gliss armchairs and matching bar stools in a solid white colour.
Even hospital units have been given an attractive new look with Design & Contracts’ assistance – in the case of Salisbury Hospital, both the Children’s Unit and Spinal Unit. The latter, for example, was given bespoke Dado modular seating at an increased height for spinally injured patients, together with special height Tonda tables with Zebrano Kuadra chairs.
